    Well he had been in the clan for a while but something had kept him from speaking to people. He was pretty sure he knew why. Life didn't really like social situations, he was scared someone would judge him or he would embarrass himself. But as he grew older the idea he would have to get out and get to know people became bigger and bigger in his mind. Sure he was scared of messing up and embarrassing himself, but he was more afraid of being lonely forever and never getting anywehres because he didn't know anyone. And that would prompt him to attempt to hold a meet and greet in the marketplace.




    Try would be the keyword here.




    Life wanted to push the words out of his throat, the simple sentence that would initiate the first step in getting to know others, but he wasn't able to do it. Oh great now he was embarrassing himself. Had his cheeks not been covered with fur a rosy tint would be showing, indicating his emoruin. He thought that because there were so many people there it'd be easy to get someone's attention, but that was the downfall. There were too many people.




    So instead of holding the meet and greet he wanted to, Life was now trying to melt into the walls of the bustling area, his legs frozen in place and unable to carry him away. What a great way to start the day, was it not?

    Life was still young. He got excited over little things, would make a mountain out of a molehill, and was still pretty immature when it got down to things. He didn't know much when it came to reading and writing and had no current obligation to learn as that seemed like a lot of work, he'd much rather play with friends. There was one small problem with that. He didn't know anybody, and didn't have any friends except for the spare NPC. They were usually too busy to play with him much of at all, considering that they were adults with duties.




    So what did he do to solve this?




    Life made up his own.




    He would later learn that these were called imaginary friends, but for now they fulfilled his social needs. The wolf thought a moment, then decided to have a friend based off of himself but less worried to embarrass herself. A while wolf like him, but with amber eyes. A smile soon came across the young pup's face and he could be seen barreling across the marketplace, weaving between NPC's while all thoughts of embarrassing himself were lost as he focused on his play. Tag was fun, but he didn't want to be it!

    Soon the familiar face of his mother appeared, and he couldn't help but let out a small sigh of relief. His mom wouldn't judge him for anything, it was nearly impossible for Life to embarrass himself in to his mother. Right? He was pretty sure. As soon as he thought that a flicker of doubt wormed its way into his mind, fighting to grow bigger and take a hold and make him doubt what he had just been so sure of. However, it was a lost cause for the worm as Life manievered hinself to try and shield himself behind his mother, happy that she was large enough to provide good cover. [b]"Hi."

    Life wanted to go up and talk to the others, he really did, but something held it back. He didn't know what it was called but later would learn that the term was social anxiety. He was nervous. The male could only bring himself to watch the two, watch as they had fun and hope he didn't look like a creep. Life didn't want to embarrass himself, and he wasn't exactly sure if what to say if he did get over there. So instead he hung back, knowing that later on he would regret this like he always did when he watched instead of joining in. Poor life.

    If it weren't so cold it'd be a lovely day. Luckily for him his fur had filled out and his winter coat was set in so he wasn't too cold, except for his nose and paw pads which didn't have fur. The male would be padding along, taking a walk in the territory. He was thinking, and talking to his imaginary friend.
    He knew he needed to socialize more, make friends, but how? His imaginary friend was good, but he'd only last for so long. He needed proper friends, and he knew that, he just couldn't grasp the concept of how. How did one make friends? How were people so bold, so unafraid to mess up? How did they talk to others without tripping up on their words? Maybe if he talked to someone he could find out how, but the problem was he didn't know how to talk to the person. Stuck in a rock and a hard place some would say.
    With a sigh, Life decided to head back to camp. His pads were starting to get really cold and he felt overall more cold. His den would be warm and he could grab a bite to eat, and everything would be fine. Just to get to the camp first.

    A smooth but hard cover that easily flipped open, revealing something white with something black on it. Life had no idea what it was, but it certainly was interesting. He cautiously lifted up some of the pages with a claw, trying to make any sense of what he was seeing. [b]"You know what this is?"

    		 Life woofed, speaking to his imaginary friend. He of course also had no idea what it was, so the two were left to puzzle over the object at their paws.

    A party? Life had heard of such things, but hadn't seen one or attended one before. It sounded like fun, but there'd be a lot of people there. It didn't seem crowded yet, so the white pup slid over wit ha sideways glance to his mother before heading to the food table, deciding that a bite to eat might calm his nerves.

    Ever since Life had found his book, he had been intruiged. What did the writing mean? What did it say? Did that meaning have a hidden meaning? His imaginary friend had been sidelined for a bit as he puzzled over the book. What in the world could this possibly say? He wanted to know, but sadly didn't have the guts to ask anyone to teach him how to read. So the pup would be sitting in the marketplace, the hardback book in front of him, staring quizzically at the book while questioning thoughts ran through his head.

  • BE A WINNER | MEETING

    He hadn't been present at the last meeting because he had been in the other side of the territory, but had heard what happened. His mom was no where's to be seen, so he was left with his imaginary friend for support and comfort. Evan, as he had begun to refer to him as, could only do so much in the end, but luckily Life hadn't needed him too terribly. Yet.
    The male was close enough this time around to hear the call for the meeting. So this time around, he went over. The beginning sounded reasonable but it was the end that caused his heart to skip a beat.
    He was leader?
    Oh Zues.
    His eyes went wide as the statement sunk in. Being the niave child he was, he wouldn't understand the full responsibility of leadership, but he did know that it was a big thing. His jaw went slack as his mind went racing, trying to grasp the full extent of the meaning of the statement. Wait. He'd have to speak, say something wouldn't he? Oh dear gods.
    He would continue standing there for a minute, unsure of what to do or say. Come on life, say something! He told himself. A sideways glance was cast to Evan, who simply gave him an encouraging nod. "Uh" was all he was able to get out of his moth before closing it again. Then he swallowed, trying to gather up confidence, and managed to say "I, uh, I'll do my best." To Albus and the NPCs there. That was a good thing to say wasnt it's?
